Assisted Suicide vote to express concern about patients with eating disorders and victims of domestic abuse

We’re now just six days away from the crucial Third Reading vote on the Leadbeater assisted suicide Bill this Friday.

I know you’ve already taken action – perhaps more than once – and I am really grateful for everything you are doing.

But I’m writing this evening because there’s something new and urgent MPs need to hear before they cast their vote this Friday.

A new tool from The Other Half highlights two deeply disturbing ways this Bill could put people at serious risk:
It could allow patients with eating disorders, such as anorexia, to access assisted suicide – even if they’re not terminally ill.
It could put victims of domestic abuse in danger, by allowing abusers to pressure vulnerable partners into ending their lives.
Even if you’ve contacted your MP already, this message is different – and they need to see it. With the vote on a knife-edge, this could be the email that changes a mind.

Please, if you are able, take just 30 seconds now to send this new message to your MP:

This is the final stretch. If we each do what we can now, we have a real chance of stopping this Bill.

Best wishes,
