Christmas Fair Team

The Christmas Fair is the biggest fund-raising and social event held in the Parish each year and usually takes place on the last Saturday in November. The fair is held in The St Christopher Centre.

Church Cleaners

There are currently 3 teams of cleaners, each one being independent. Each team usually has a minimum of 4 people.

200 Club

The 200 Club is a fantastic opportunity to support the Parish as well as having the chance to win one of four cash prizes drawn each month

Piety Stalls

The Piety stall serves as an opportunity for parishioners to purchase reasonably priced religious items including cards, missals, prayer books, prayer cards and rosarie

Altar Servers

The current team of altar servers belong to a long line of young people who have assisted the priest at mass

Musicians

The weekend Masses in the Parish are accompanied by an organist. Tony Bibby provides the music at the Saturday evening and 11.00 Mass on a Sunday, and Claire Sweeney at the 9.00 Mass

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee at Our Lady & St Christopher’s has been set up in accordance with Church Law – Canon 537, which states that every parish should have a finance committee

Readers

There are groups of parishioners that read at all the weekend Masses. There are approximately 10-14 readers for each Mass and rotas are organised normally every 3 months. New readers are invited to join the rotas, or volunteer.

Ladies Guild

The Ladies Guild is an integral part of the parish community and has been for many years

Friendship Group

The Friendship Group in the Parish of Our Lady & St Christopher’s, Romiley was part of the Worldwide Faith and Light Community until the end of 2020 when we once again became a Parish group

Bereavement Group
